I have zero tolerance for any adult who humiliates, or hurts a child. When any adult is in a position of authority and is tasked with protecting children, and out of convenience towards their own interests or simply because they are a coward, the actions are far worse.
The St Ambrose Catholic School website praises how they are "spiritual", "nurturing", with claims of being “holy” and “guided by the gifts of the holy spirit” it makes one wonder, which of these tenets were relied upon when deciding to kick a bright, well behaved eleven year old to the curb and humiliate her and her family in their community and the only school they have known for 15 years.
On one hand Principal Lisa Dodge claims she had no knowledge of very specific school policies and procedures that pertain to bullying, harassment and the reporting of such in order to protect children.
Yet Principal Lisa Dodge knew quite well and relied upon a vague, discretionary school policy in order to protect herself and seemingly to cover up her own failures. Then has the convenience of hiding behind the Archdiocese who she claims "has her back" because she has "many friends" there.
In my opinion, Principal Lisa Dodges methods and behaviors when it comes to running a school full of children lack integrity, consistency, are cowardly and resembles a "mafia-esque" style of paranoia and arrogance.
I feel that what Principal Lisa Dodge did is shameful, disgraceful and goes against everything the Catholic church claims to preach. Principal Lisa Dodge should be embarrassed by her actions and if she had a shred of integrity she would recognize what she did was terrible and resign.
