Each of the following incidents were documented with Principal Lisa Dodge. Although some seem minor, the issue is that a pattern existed. All of these incidents rise to the level of bullying and harassment as defined in the St Ambrose Catholic School handbook. Principal Lisa Dodge was made aware of the pattern and in a most cowardly fashion, lied about her ability to act on them. Not only did she let the harassment continue, she provided a continually increasing presence and platform for this volunteer parent knowing that she would have close contact with my daughter.
- An astounding level of carelessness and irresponsibility!
Sophia’s classmate was caught intentionally removing the tracking device we keep in Sophia’s backpack for safety, and placed it in another child’s backpack, which not only caused panic in our family, but also with the child whose backpack it was placed in. The classmate lied about it but was caught on video.
- Principals Lisa Dodges response? Nothing
Parent and spouse of classmate who has been bullying and harassing Sophia, aggressively approached our family at the Open House event, threatened me with physical violence and openly harassed us while we sat by ourselves, minding our business. The parent then shouted false accusations that Sophia was a thief in front of the entire assembly and in the presence of Principal Dodge.
-Principal Lisa Dodges response? Nothing
Sophia’s classmate of the parents who harassed us approached her and made accusations that Sophias parents were the ones harassing and acting aggressively towards his parents at the Open House Event, that was a lie.
- Principal Dodges response? Nothing
Same classmate spread false rumors throughout the class accusing Sophia of making fun of his mother’s disability, which was a lie. Another classmate confirmed that the classmate did so in order to make Sophia look bad.
- Principal Lisa Dodges response? Conveniently mischaracterized it as a “dispute”
Same classmate intentionally damaged another classmate’s headset by cutting the wires with scissors. He allegedly did this as punishment to the student for being friends with Sophia.
-Principal Lisa Dodges response? Made Sophia have a meeting with the school psychologist, yet never advised us of this nor documented it.
The parent of the student that has been harassing and bullying Sophia in class treated Sophia in degrading and disrespectful manner during Book Fair.

Sophia’s hairclip fell from her hair and before she could retrieve it the same classmate stepped on it and broke it. He initially claimed it was an “accident” but ultimately conceded he did it on purpose.
- Principal Lisa Dodges response? Again, claimed she could only act on “first hand” information. That’s a lie. But suggested that the classmate would pay for it, they didn't.
The same classmate spread lies in the classroom that our older son was harassing him during the Christmas show, that was a lie.
- Principal Lisa Dodge’s response – Requested a meeting with us, which we refused at the time since we did nothing wrong.
Principal Dodge requested a meeting with me which I refused. We had a meeting with Principal Lisa Dodge previously to discuss these issues where all she did was talk tough and lie. Any additional meetings would have been of no value. I advised her that she should be meeting with the people causing the problem, not the people suffering from them. - Principal Lisa Dodge’s response – Threw our daughter out of the school.
